The adjacent Rio Grande National Forest and Sangre de Cristo Wilderness offer superb hiking up uncrowded trails leading to pristine high altitude lakes. Climbers can access and enjoy some of Colorado’s most challenging fourteeners just up the main streets from our Inn.

The Great Sand Dunes National Park lies in view to the south of Crestone and the Baca Grande. The Spanish Trail also passes through this historical region.
